Andrew's has an extensive family history in racing, starting with his Dad and then his Mom. Andrew can remember as far back as a young boy sitting in his Dad's race car on a 5 gallon bucket pretending to drive. His brother Mark then got into racing. Mark let Andrew drive his car in Emo, Ontario. For his first time racing, Andrew went too fast, flew into the corner and messed up the carburetor. Today, Andrew's youngest son races with him, with his daughter and oldest son soon to follow as well. He has one nephew that also races with him and another nephew to soon start as well. All of them driving in the Street Stock.
In 1993, Mark had a new car built and passed his other car onto Andrew. This would mark the beginning of Andrew's racing career. That first year, Andrew won the last feature of the year at Riverview Raceways, winning him Rookie of the Year.
In 1994, Andrew built a brand new car. Three weeks later of his build, he began racing at Mosquito Speedway and completed his first full year there. For the next six years, Andrew would race at Mosquito Speedway in Nolalu, Ontario, Canada, with plenty of success, winning many races in his class. He won second place in points, racing at Mosquito Speedway, as well as travelling to Emo, Ontario, Canada, Hibbing, Minnesota, USA and Proctor, Minnesota, USA. This same year, he won the Whiskey Row Classic at Mosquito Speedway. In the year 2000, he decided to take a break to raise a family and sold his car.
In 2018, Andrew put on his race suit once again and bought a car from Moose Lake, Minnesota, USA. He raced this car for the next three years, never receiving a win.
In 2019, Andrew got his next car from the late Bruce Anderson. The car's build was started by Bruce and Thomas Niemi. Although the build was slowed down by the pandemic, the car reached completion that year with Andrew winning two races in it.
In 2021, Andrew raced in Emo once again, as well as the newly built Dairy Queen International Speedway, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada (now Thunder City Speedway) where he would win the first Street Stock race held at the track.
In 2022, Andrew, again, won the first Street Stock race at the now named Thunder City Speedway in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
In 2023, Andrew decided to give his car a new look and changed the decal of the car, followed by a completely new body on the car in 2024.
Andrew has high ambitions for 2025. He has a new car and a new look. With his crew by his side, Joe St. Denis (best friend), Erin Slomke (spouse) and Mckenna (daughter), Andrew plans to race every chance possible starting with Cedar Lake Speedway, Thunder City Speedway, Mosquito Speedway (King of the Fields), Emo Speedway, Gondik Law Speedway, Rice Lake Speedway and Ogilvie Speedway.
